Transcriptions are important in all businesses to save the three significant components- cost, efforts and time. When a business keeps the records of the transcripts, it can work better upon the core functioning as the written results are present in front of them and they do not have to spend time on recognizing words in recorded tapes. Records of transcripts play important role in many industries.

In legal industry, Cases and proceedings are recorded and transcripts are used for further solving the case and maintaining the records of particular events. Lawyers always prefer to keep everything in textual form to understand the cases more quickly and take clues for the proceedings. At times, these records are used as witnesses in the courtroom. The transcriptions in legal industry are highly confidential and generally maintained personally by the lawyers and legal firms.

In financial businesses, Minutes of the meetings are prepared with the recorded tapes and transcriptions of those tapes. The meetings and seminar in the conference rooms are summarized and the transcripts cum minutes of the meeting are circulated among the participants and absentees. A record of these transcripts is maintained for the future references of the business. The transcriptions can be used to revise the decisions taken during the financial meeting.
